Get back in the water to refresh your skills at your pace.
Has it been over a year since you've been scuba diving? A Scuba Refresher is just what you need. You'll take a short online review of scuba concepts, then we'll take you to the pool to practice some diving skills. We'll get you comfortable again so you can enjpoy your vacation.
If you'd like to practice more in the ocean with a dive professional, we got you! We'd love to arrange a local diving trip out to one of our local islands. Additional fees apply.

What you'll Learn
Online, you'll review some basic scuba theory that you learned during your initial training. You'll review:
- Safe diving practices
- Dive planning fundamentals
- Problem management
- Breathing air at depth
- Learn how to use a dive computer
The Scuba Gear You Use
You will use all the basic scuba gear you learned with. Divers West has scuba gear rentals available. Just like when you were becoming a certified diver, you do need to provide your own personal gear such as mask, snorkel, and fins. Don't have it? You can find everything you need at Divers West.
Prerequisites
To take a Scuba Refresher course at Divers West, you must have
- a scuba diver certification( i.e. PADI, NAUI, LA County, SSI, CMAS, SDI, etc)
- If not a PADI certified diver, you must show proof of certification
- Be at least 12 years old
- Compleate a medical questionaire and be in generally good health
- Please sign up at least several weeks or more in advance of your dive trip so we can verify that your medical questionaire is in good order, coordinate instructor, and pool availablity so it works for everyone.
