Boys and Girls Club CPR & AED
This CPR w/AED(Automated External Defibrillator) course is designed for the staff of the Boys and Girls Club of Pasadena so that all staff member can provide life saving care for someone in need.
This course is FREE to the Boys and Girls Club of Pasadena Staff
You will gain the skills and confidence to save the life of someone you know or are supervising
After completing the Emergency First Response CPR & AED course, you’ll know how to aid someone who may be experiencing cardiac arrest with an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator), or hands-only CPR.
Course Includes:
- FREE Course Book for NEW CPR Students
- Home Study, aprox 1 week of reading and practice questions
- CPR and AED training at the Boys and Girls Club of Pasadena
- Final Exam
- CPR w/AED Certification good for 2 years
NEW CPR STUDENTS: You must sign up and pick up your Course Book from Divers West at least one week before your scheduled class and complete the required reading and exercises before attending the CPR session. Please call ahead to schedule Course Book pickup
RENEWING CPR STUDENTS: You should already have your EFR-CPR w/AED Course Book from your original certification. You will just need to review the book, then participate in your scheduled class to perform skills and take final exam.

What You Learn in the EFR CPR and AED Courses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level
- AED (automated external defibrillator) use
- Use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk
Through a combination of independent study and skill practice with an instructor, you’ll build the confidence and skills to provide basic emergency care. The CPR and AED Manual and video on DVD preview emergency scenarios and provide step-by-step skill demonstrations.
The Emergency First Response Care at a Glance card is a quick-reference guide for emergency situations. Designed to fit in a glove compartment or backpack, the Care at a Glance card is an important component for any first-aid or disaster preparedness kit.
